A 15-year-old boy will face Children’s court this week following the alleged armed robbery of a Taree news agency on Saturday morning.
The teenager allegedly attacked a female assistant at the Muldoon Street business, who was later treated in hospital for a fractured cheek bone, and lacerations.
Police say the boy fled the scene, only to return that evening, breaking into a neighbouring medical centre.
He was denied bail and charged with a number of offences.
