DOES TAMWORTH NEED MORE TRANSPORT OPTIONS DURING THE FESTIVAL?
Discussions have begun about whether there’ll be enough public transport in Tamworth during the Country Music Festival.
While extra buses and taxis are allocated during the ten-day event, the Business Chamber says it may not be enough during peak times.
“We just really want to open the discussion. Is there a demand for it? Do we need it? How can we make our festival as good as it can be? People come to Tamworth, we want it to be seamless and we want to be able to provide transport options.”
It says one option could be a ride-sharing service.
“I think the ride sharing option is a really good one, a service like UBER. Not necessarily UBER, but potentially you know utilising a local pool of people or cars to actually provide that support service.”
