It has been a very wet time for the coast but the good news is the the showers will finally make way for a fine weekend.
Newcastle and Gosford saw the sun return today as the showers developed elsewhere.
The shower activity will clear from the North-West and start to break up further across the Greater Hunter tomorrow in time for the weekend which will be fine, mostly sunny and warmer.
The showers will begin to clear from the northern NSW and South-East Queensland coasts on Saturday with a fine looking Sunday for all.
