GUNNEDAH POOL UPGRADES COMMENCE NEXT WEEK

While most of the region’s pools are reopening for Summer, Gunnedah’s is about to undergo a significant refurbishment.
Hines Constructions has been appointed by Gunnedah Shire Council to deliver the $11-million upgrade, which will begin from Monday.
The project will see a new 50-metre outdoor pool, kids wet play area and pavilion, as well as improved disability access.
The heated pool will remain open until work on it begins mid next year.

Please ask your journalists to refrain from calling sportspeople ‘heroes’. Heroes went over the top on the Western Front, they crawled through the jungles in New Guinea and Vietnam, they go into buildings on fire to rescue people, they confront armed bank robbers, they deal with drug addicted crazy people, they rescue kids from pools and raging rivers and so much more!
Please respect the word heroes and call them talented sports men or women!! I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 11, I have been around for a while!
