Consultation with local clinicians regarding the Inverell Hospital upgrade may result in changes to the design.
Staff have asked that some services move locations in the upgraded section, to make them more accessible, while some rooms may also change in size.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall hopes to incorporate any alterations as soon as possible.
“By the time we turn the first sod, it’s too late to change the plans. So there’s still a window of opportunity to slightly tweak those redevelopment plans to make sure we get the best redevelopment possible.”
The changes aren’t expected to delay the project.
