$50-MILLION BOOST TO MOBILE BLACK SPOTS

Mobile phone reception in the bush will soon be given a boost, with the state government announcing $50-million to improve phone and data connectivity.
The money will be allocated on a needs basis- helping businesses and emergency services in regional New South Wales.
“We live in a time where we know from a business perspective connectivity is important, we know from an emergency services response perspective we need to make sure people are accessible for the safety of communities.”
The state government says it will work with local councils and telco companies to determine where new infrastructure will be built.
