BIRGAN SMOKES SHOOTING COMPETITION

A familiar face took out this year’s Gumtree shoot at the Gunnedah Sporting Clays Club over the long weekend.

Brisbane’s Damian Birgan taking home the trophy for the second year in a row, after missing just six targets throughout the competition.

There was a local winner in the sub junior category, with Gunnedah’s Tom Lyne hitting 153 of 202.

The club will get a small break now, before the annual ‘Sinker to Shotgun’ competition in March.
