A cross-border police operation has uncovered nearly 80 unregistered firearms at a Tenterfield property.
Police from the New South Wales firearms squad raided the home yesterday following a lengthy investigation by Queensland police.
They seized 73 rifles, a crudely manufactured bolt-action pistol, a replica revolver and 200 rounds of ammunition.
Authorities say more weapons were found in a nearby vehicle.
It’s understood none of the weapons were registered.
