A sea of yellow swarmed Tamworth’s saleyards today with rural mental health services from across the region asking locals, are you okay.
“It’s actually more manly to ask the “are you okay” question than it is to just walk away and pretend nothing is happening with someone you’re worried about.”
“It’s extremely important for everyone to stick together. I think people can feel isolated at times and it’s just about getting that message out there that there is support and there is help.”
The campaign aims at breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly with those living on the land.
