WHEELCHAIR SPORTS DAY FOR A MATE

Students at Maitland’s Grossman High got behind a special cause today for one of their mates.

Year 11 student Kaeden Benbow suffers from muscular dystrophy, a degenerative disease that strikes in childhood, weakening the body’s muscles that control movement.

The school hosted a wheelchair sports day, bringing an insight into what life is like in a wheelchair.

Funds raised from the day will go towards research into the condition.
