One man has been stabbed and another remains under police guard in hospital after an alleged assault on the Coffs Coast.
Police responded to reports of an assault on Fiddaman Road in Emerald Beach, shortly after 4am yesterday.
When they arrived at the scene, police found a 29-year-old man had been stabbed and a 38-year-old man had been assaulted.
The two men were taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and have since been released.
A 23-year-old man was later arrested and taken to hospital under police guard.
He has since been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, among other charges.
He is being treated for facial injuries.
