A wave of emotion and heartache has swept the Gunnedah community, today farewelling a ‘wildlife warrior’.
More than 100 people gathered today to celebrate the life of Nancy Small.
She is being remembered for her prominent role in koala safety and devotion to the koala capital..
As well as her operation of the Waterways Wildlife Park alongside her husband for many years.
Mrs Small passed away on Friday, aged 69, following ongoing health problems since a brain aneurism in May.
