An elderly man has drowned after falling from his surf ski in rough conditions off Port Macquarie.
The victim – thought to be aged in his 70s – was pulled unconscious from the water by a group of surfers shortly after midday.
A lifeguard brought him to shore and attempted CPR, but sadly he couldn’t be revived.
