Tamworth’s version of Martin Place, is beginning to take shape on Fitzroy Street.
More than 15-hundred cubic metres of dirt has been removed from the precinct and more than one-kilometre of power cables laid.
Once completed, the new pedestrian mall will feature free wi-fi, a water refilling station, street furniture, bicycle parking and 13 car spaces.
It’s due to be finished ahead of next year’s Country Music Festival.
