EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO BE SOUGHT FOR HISTORIC POST OFFICE

Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council says prospective buyers are already showing interest in the former Newcastle post office.

Members of the land council have decided the historic building will hit the market in a couple of months, after cleaning and safety work has been completed.

“We will be in the hands of whoever is interested in helping us either redevelop it or perhaps there might be an offer for sale, we’ll wait and see what comes out of it.” Rob Russell CEO of Awabakal Land Council
