PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE OF FERN BAY

Port Stephens and Newcastle councils are teaming up to develop a new land use strategy for Fern Bay and North Stockton.

It will focus on identifying a commercial hub for the rapidly growing region.

“With that comes demands on infrastructure and what this is about is to listen to the community down there and try and put in place facilities that can meet their needs over the coming years,” said Mike McIntosh from Port Stephens Council.

Residents have until September 22 to share their ideas.
