CALLS FOR TRANSPORT COMMITTEE HEARING IN NEWCASTLE

There are calls for a New South Wales Parliament Committee on transport and infrastructure to hold a hearing in Newcastle.
It’s investigating ways to improve ‘park and ride’ services across the state.
“To see first hand just how difficult it is with regards to parking and transport, getting in and around the city,” said Newcastle MP Tim Crakanthorp.
Tim Crakanthorp today met with some Stockton residents, concerned about the lack of parking at the ferry wharf.
“People are parking in areas where they shouldn’t park and they’re copping fines. They’re parking in the streets,” said resident Ron Hancock.
