It was a tough weekend in the WNBL for the Hunter’s Suzy Batkovic, with her Townsville Fire handed a 12-point loss by the Bendigo Spirit.
The 35-year-old wasn’t given any quarter by the visitors, who used physical tactics to throw Batkovic off her game.
The reigning MVP made just six of her 15 shots from the floor, but still managed to score 20 points and lead the scorers.
