With MidCoast Council elections just around the corner, residents in Taree, Forster and Gloucester are having ‘Cuppa’s with the Candidates.’
69 people from across the former three council areas have put their hand up for the top job.
And with lots of unknown faces, the Taree Business Chamber says networking events are vital.
“You can’t give a microphone to every single one of the or else you will be there until after the next election so we said they guys, give us your four minute spiel, tell us about your group, tell us about yourself. The community can just come along and network and can just basically ask the questions of all the individual candidates themselves,” said Jeremy Thornton.
Taree will have it’s event on Monday the 28th of August at the Uniting Church Hall.
