Wests wrapped up the Newcastle Rugby League minor premiership this afternoon, beating Souths 44-12, while Macquarie beat Central by 24.
Second spot was up for grabs as the Butcher Boys hosted the Scorpions.
The visitors hit the front inside three minutes as Scott Briggs, Mitch Manson and Nathan Cantor combined for Macquarie.
The Scorpions’ second try was almost identical, this time Chris Hyde started the move, with Manson grabbing the points.
Macquarie’s win sees it lock down a home semi final.
