UNE has announced its 12-player team for the National University Sevens Series’ tournament in Tasmania next weekend, with locals featuring heavily.
Current student Kim Resch is joined by Tamworth’s Abby Schmiedel and Armidale’s Bea Roberts.
Warialda High School student Rhiannon Byers also made the cut.
The side has been supplemented by Rio gold medallist Alicia Quirk.
Four players were also part of Australia’s youth Commonwealth Games winning squad last month.
