A 52-year-old man has died after a shocking farming accident in Nabiac late yesterday.
The man was slashing grass using a tractor when it overturned, trapping him by his foot.
A neighbour heard his cries for help and called triple-zero.
A small fire ignited, burning the man.
Police say the fire was the likely cause of his death.
Investigations continued today, to determine what sparked the blaze
“The injuries sustained as a result of the tractor accident do not appear to be life threatening, they were only minor injuries…the body of the deceased is awaiting post mortem from the pathologist,” said Insp. Alan Fidock.
