The Newcastle Jets will face the Mid North Coast select side at Port Macquarie’s Regional Stadium tonight.
Earlier today, the squad conducted coaching clinics across the city, with Andrew Nabbout and Dimi Petratos taking the kids through their paces at Port Public School.
“I remember when I was a kid and a pro soccer player came and it was just a really exciting thing because you see them on TV all the time.”
Despite some disappointing losses recently, Nabbout says the Jets’ pre-season remains on track.
“I personally feel so much fitter at this point than I did last year. We’re comfortably running out games at this point of the season, where as last year it took us a while to get going, so hopefully continue the way we’re going and knock on wood no injuries and we go straight through to the season.”
