MAN FACING HISTORICAL CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A 52-year-old man will face court today after being charged with ten historical child sex offences in the state’s Northern Tablelands.
Earlier this year detectives restarted an investigation that began in 2012, into the alleged indecent assault of two young girls by a man known to them.
During the new investigation, a third young girl was identified as allegedly being indecently assaulted as well.
Authorities arrested the 52-year-old man at Inverell in late June.
He’s now been charged with a ten historical sexual offences including indecent assault and commit act of indecency on a victim under the age of 10 years.
It’s alleged he indecently assaulted the girls on numerous occasions between 2002 and 2012.
He’s been granted strict conditional bail before his court appearance later today.
