SOUTHS TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS AGAINST LAKES

In Newcastle Rugby League today, Central proved far too good for Kurri, winning by 20.

While a dominant second half saw Souths blow Lakes United out of the water.

The sixth-placed Lions did the damage early against the fourth-placed Seagulls, Souths scoring two easy tries in the first 15 minutes.

Lakes hit back with two of their own to level things up, before incredible defence, first on the line and then in open play kept them in the contest.

But the Lions broke through, scoring another two, giving them a 10-point lead at the half.

After the break, the home team closed the gap to six, but from there it was all one-way traffic, with the Lions roaring away to secure an 18-point win.
