Lismore charities Our Kids, Lords Taverners and Northern Rivers Suicide Prevention are teaming up – hosting a mental health awareness dinner next month.
‘Lets Talk’ will see prominent Australians, including Peter FitzSimons and Tim Costello, discuss overcoming adversity with attendees.
“We’re just going to be talking about the challenges they’ve faced in their lives, and hopefully they’ll give us a few hints, to overcome the challenges in ours. Suicide is a big issue in our area and we’d like to try and reduce that.”
“Lets talk is all about opening up that conversation – bringing in solutions, bringing in strategies.”
Any money raised will be shared evenly among the charities.
