The Hunter is unlikely to see a national basketball team based in the region anytime soon, with the league’s boss conceding the NBL’s recent history here – and elsewhere – has scared potential supporters away.
Thankfully it hasn’t stopped the area attracting the best of the next generation, for the Australian All-School Championships.
