IMPROVED BOATING HUB FOR NORTH STOCKTON

Stockton’s fishing community can now enjoy a new-look boat hub.

The $850,000 project, jointly-funded by Newcastle Council and the state government, has created 60 new car spaces at North Stockton boat ramp.

“Certainly in more recent times it was just a dust bowl, it was pretty nasty, pretty ugly and certainly wasn’t in keeping with the revitalisation of Newcastle that we’ve seen over the last couple of years,” Newcastle City Council interim CEO, Jeremy Bath said.

A new fish cleaning facility was also part of the upgrade.
