Scientists, doctors and even acting royalty, were some of people honoured at the University of Newcastle Alumni Awards night.
In it’s 42nd year, the ceremony recognises past students for their outstanding work.
Australian Actress Susie Porter was recognised for her innovation and creativity.
Other notable winners from last night’s ceremony were stroke researcher Dr Andrew Bivard – and immunologist, Dr Malcolm Starkey.
