Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, has hit back at claims he will neglect his Federal Electorate of the New England after picking up two more portfolios.
It follows the resignation of Senator Matt Canavan over a dual citizenship issue.
“You just pick it up and do it, you do it to the best of your ability and you do what you’ve got to do. I’m hoping that Senator Canavan is cleared as quickly as possible and I can hand it all back to him.”
Mr Joyce is now handling Water Resources, Agriculture, Industry and Resources, and Northern Australia.
That’s in addition to maintaining his position as Deputy Prime Minister.
