Newcastle’s love for all things antique was on show today.
Hundreds turned out for the city’s fourth annual Antiques and Collectables Fair, with everything from furniture to jewellery on offer.
“People are looking for stuff that they’re going to have in 50 years or 100 years time and they can hand down from generation to generation, instead of council tip to council tip,” said organiser Martin Curry.
More than 30 vendors are featured – some travelling as far as Western Australia and Tasmania.
The fair continues tomorrow at the Newcastle Showground Exhibition Centre.
