NEW FREE SERVICE FOR CLARENCE YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DRUG AND ALCOHOL ISSUES

Help is on the way for Clarence Valley teenagers and young adults struggling with drug and alcohol issues.

The Buttery at Binna Burra has secured more than $2000,000 in federal funding over two years to run intervention programs in Grafton, Maclean and Yamba.

The money is coming from the National ICE Action Strategy.

Young people aged 12 to 24 will be able to access responsible and personalised treatment plans with a focus on developing increased resilience.

The early intervention program will work closely with Headspace in Grafton as well as local high schools, employment, housing and primary health care providers in the valley.
