It seems a mere formality but the Knights Board meets tomorrow to decide if they’ll release Brian Smith from the last year of his contract after agreeing to a 4 year deal to replace Brad Fittler as coach of the Roosters.
Although they’d heard rumours, news of Brian Smith’s Roosters move still came as a shock for Knights management.
Newcastle now more concerned about what possible disruption it has on the team, and, who will replace Smith next year.
