There were dramatic scenes in Newcastle this morning, with a driver arrested following a police pursuit through the CBD.
The chase began in Hill Street, and ended at an inner city pub after the man allegedly tried to run from officers.
He was brought down by members of the public, before being taken into custody by police.
Moments earlier, the allegedly stolen car was spotted being driven on the wrong side of busy King Street.
