The first Central Coast Council election is just around the corner, and today the Greens announced their candidates.
Sue Wynn will stand for Budgewoi, while Stephen Pearson is looking to represent East Gosford.
The Entrance could have a new councillor in Cath Connor while Kate de Costa will try her luck for the ward of West Gosford.
“Overall we want to change the culture of the council so that the community, not just the property developers get a say, a genuine say in decision making.”
The Greens fear the restructure, made up of three wards from the former Wyong area and two from the south will see the community under represented.
“So we originally had 20 counsellors and now we have 15. That means as electors we have less representation then we did before.”
The election will take place on September 9.
