There are calls for Coffs Harbour City Council to address growing community concerns about the blueberry industry.
At Thursday night’s meeting, councillors will be asked to support a push for the sector to be regulated.

It’s about time I have lived and worked around the invasion of blueberry farming in the Sandy Beach area and Woolgoolga I have researched the chemicals the farmers youse they all say after spraying do not go into sprayed areas for 24 hours unless you are covered from head to toe masked the hole lot,this is the most rape and pillage practice I have ever seen,No DA approval no building approval I have witnessed spraying in southerly winds up to 40klm to spray next to houses and schools is dam well criminal. I left petitions in shops from red rock to emerald beach for 4weeks on my return they all went missing .
The sad part about all of this our residents and future residents will suffer health issues council has turned a blind eye to these practises.
