The hunt for local sporting heroes in the Hastings is on once again, with nominations open for the 18th annual Port Macquarie-Hastings Sports Awards and Wayne Richards Sporting Scholarship.
$7,000 will be awarded to recipients across eight categories, to help local athletes pursue their sporting dreams.
“Last year we launched the online nominations for the sporting awards, so from today until the 30th of September nominations are open,” President of Rotary Port Macquarie Sunrise Jenny Sinclair says.
There was a record number of 90 nominations in 2016.
