A man last night used a machete to threaten two staff of a Park Avenue video store in Coffs Harbour, before making off with a sum of cash.
Police say another man armed with a hammer stood outside during the incident which happened shortly before 8pm.
The pair then fled on foot.
No one was injured during the robbery and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
