Two women have been subjected to a frightening home invasion by three armed men on the Gold Coast.
Around 8:30am yesterday, three men forcibly entered a residence on Hood Court in Mermaid Waters armed with two hand guns and a knife.
Two women, aged 44 and 20, were threatened by the men who then searched the home.
The men then demanded money, but when the occupants refused, the trio left the address.
The 20-year-old woman was assaulted by one of the men but was not injured.
