Serious concerns are held for the welfare of an elderly man, missing in the Northern Rivers.
89-year-old Vernon Neilson was last seen leaving an aged-care service on Freeburn Street in Yamba, just after 10.15am yesterday.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition and overnight weather conditions.
Mr Neilson is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, thin to medium build with grey hair and a grey moustache.
He was last seen wearing glasses, blue jeans, black slippers, a blue flannelette collared shirt with a long sleeved dark zip-up cardigan.
He also has a hearing aid and may be carrying a newspaper.
