JESMOND PUBLIC WIN $5000 IN HUNTER WATER SHORT FILM COMPETITION
Jesmond Public School was announced as the winner of The Water Catchers short film competition at Tower Cinemas in Newcastle last night.
The competition is designed to educate primary school students about the value of water conservation.
They received a grant of $5,000 from Hunter Water to go towards a water sustainability project of their choice.
Runners up Kotara South Public School received a cash prize of $1,500, and the remaining finalists each received $500.
