COMBINING ANIMALS AND ART FOR ARCHIBALD PRIZE

One of the Central Coast’s most well-known faces has been put on canvas, with the Australian Reptile Park’s Director Tim Faulkner the subject of an Archibald Prize entry.
Local artist Kelly-Anne Love chose him as her muse, to help spread his message about animal conservation.
“I feel like no only is it a pretty picture but it’s a really important theme and I’d love to be part of spreading that message.”
“The animals are brilliant, I love the fence, I love the feral animals on one side and the fight between natives and feral pests in Australia, it’s intense, and she’s captured it.”
The piece is her first entry in the prestigious competition, with the finalists announced on July 20.
