According to new data from the Bureau of Health Information, the median response time on the coast is just over nine minutes, while the state average is seven-and-a-half minutes.
Overall, New South Wales Ambulance received close to 280,000 calls for help in the first three months of this year.
The Central Coast contributed to just over 11,000 of those calls, with more than 95 per cent answered within 30 minutes.
