NEW PLAN FOR OLD CITY DJ’S SITE

A development application for a residential redevelopment of Newcastle’s old David Jones building has been lodged with Newcastle Council.

The East End project has been designed to offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments to be released over several stages.

The plan includes ground floor cafes and shops.

An area of about four city blocks, including DJ’s was bought by Sydney developer Sam Arnaout’s, Iris Capital last year.
