RELIEF IN SIGHT FOR PEEL VALLEY WATER USERS

Irrigators in the Peel Valley are breathing a sigh of relief with the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal releasing its final decision on bulk water prices.

Currently Peel Valley Users are charged $55 per megalitre of water – the highest rate in the state.

But from July 1 next year the price will drop to just $18 per megalitre – in line with other valleys across New South Wales.

Over the next four years irrigators should see their bills drop by 70 per cent.
