CENTRAL COAST DRIVER LEADS POLICE ON A 100KPH PURSUIT

A man has allegedly posted a speed of 100km/h in a 50km/h zone during a police pursuit on the Central Coast.
The pursuit was initiated around 9:20pm yesterday, when the driver allegedly failed to stop on the Central Coast Highway in Bateau Bay.
The 38-year-old driver was later arrested and charged.
Police say he also returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.072 during a breath analysis.
Operation Stay Alert concludes at 11.59pm on Monday, with double demerits in force throughout the period.
