SECOND TRUCK ACCIDENT IN ONE WEEK

A truck driver has had a lucky escape after his b-double slid out of control and down an embankment at Jones Island, near Taree this morning.
The incident occurred around three, during wet conditions.
The 58-year-old Queensland man was able to walk away from the truck.
“When he got the end end of the bridge he appeared to lose control of the vehicle and slide of onto the side of the road.”
It’s the second truck crash along the Pacific Highway in the region this week.
Police are urging motorists to drive to the conditions, and take regular breaks over the long weekend.
“Be aware of your fatigue. Stop every couple of hours, have a coffee, have a KitKat, do what ever, but take a break.”
