Tamworth Regional Council is moving with the times, launching its first interactive smartphone app – ‘My TRC’.
With the touch of a button, locals are able to access a range of services, from reporting vandalism to checking when their next bulk waste collection is.
“It can be very difficult to get into the building here, it’s also, you know, trying to get through to council on the phones so the ability to be able to do some of these things at your fingertips should be a great resource to the community.”
Sports fans can even check if their local sporting ground has been washed out.
“We’ll be updating that 8am and 2pm every day and you’ll be able to see is the rugby league field open, is cricket open and it will tell you exactly why it is or isn’t.”
