Two men and a boy will face court later this month following a pursuit in the Lake Macquarie area earlier this week.
On Tuesday morning, police patrolling through Wallsend spotted a vehicle that had reportedly been stolen during a break and enter at Merewether last week.
The car sped off and evaded police.
Later police received a number of calls reporting that the vehicle was driving on a pedestrian walkway through bushland.
Officers found the car abandoned on a fire trail in the Edgeworth area, a search commenced and three people were arrested in Neilson Street.
The 26-year-old and 19 year-old were charged with a number of driving related offences while a 17-year-old boy was also in the car and will be dealt with under the Young Offender’s Act.
