Police are investigating the death of a man from a gunshot wound in Tamworth.
Just after 8:30 last night police were called to a home on Armidale Road, following reports a man was in distress.
He was armed with a firearm and after sustaining a gunshot wound he died at the scene.
No police firearms were discharged and no one else was injured.
A critical incident team is investigating.
